Homeowner and condominium association law
Our Orlando HOA attorneys advise associations, boards and developers on collections, liens, estoppel certificates, covenant enforcement and governing documents, and they represent homeowners and condominium owners in disputes with their association. For HOAs, Florida requires pre-suit mediation before most covenant disputes can go to court.
Foreclosure defense
Our Orlando foreclosure lawyers help homeowners and commercial borrowers facing foreclosure negotiate modifications, short sales and other alternatives, and defend the lawsuit in court. Once a homeowner is served, the deadline to file a response is generally just 20 days.
Probate and estate planning
Our Orlando probate and estate planning attorneys prepare wills, trusts, powers of attorney and health care directives, advise trustees and beneficiaries, and guide families through probate administration. Since July 1, 2026, Florida estates worth $150,000 or less (excluding exempt property) qualify for the shorter summary administration process.
Trademarks
Our Orlando trademark lawyers clear, register and protect business names and logos with the USPTO and the State of Florida, and they handle assignments, license agreements and intellectual property disputes over a brand.
Other practice areas
We also handle several related practice areas for clients across Florida. For business sales and purchases, real estate litigation and private lender representation, see our full list of Florida practice areas.
Why Hire a Lawyer Who Knows Orlando
Local knowledge saves time, because the courthouse, the clerk’s office and the way cases move through the Ninth Judicial Circuit all shape how a matter unfolds.
The people
Michele Diglio-Benkiran founded the firm and has practiced business and real estate law since 1999. Richard Sierra is a commercial litigation and bankruptcy lawyer with more than three decades of experience. You can read more about our attorneys and their backgrounds.
The place
Orange County civil, probate and foreclosure cases are heard at the Orange County Courthouse, 425 N. Orange Avenue, home of the Ninth Judicial Circuit, which covers Orange and Osceola counties. Federal cases go to the Middle District of Florida, where Richard Sierra is admitted to practice.
The approach
We start by listening, explain your rights and obligations in plain language, and explain our fees in writing before the work begins. Results matter, and so does knowing where your matter stands.
